The Science Behind Climate Control Film

Thinsulate™ climate control film is made with a low emission (Low-E) textile that specializes in retaining interior temperatures. The Thinsulate 40 can reduce heat loss by up to 39% and heat gain by 50%, rejecting as much as 67% of total solar energy. It is most distinguished, however, in its glare-reducing potency, which stands as high as 59%. In addition to superb climate control and glare reduction, Thinsulate 40 film virtually eliminates UV light transmission, posting a rejection rate of up to 99.9%.

The Thinsulate 75 provides low heat emission while being effectively imperceptible. Despite its crystal-clear look, Thinsulate 75 film rejects as much as 63% of total solar energy transmission, of which includes up to 40% heat loss and 37% heat gain reduction rates. Thinsulate 75 film can also diminish 99.9% of UV light and as much as 17% of solar glare.
