What can I apply DI-NOC™ to?

  • DI-NOC™ can be applied to glass, paint, varnish, laminate, as well as sealed drywall, concrete, stone, brick and much more. DI-NOC™ is not suitable for brass, copper, unsealed or porous substrates. Accent Distributing offers Adhesion Test Kits if needed.

 How do I install DI-NOC™? What tools do I need?

  • DI-NOC™ uses a pressure-sensitive, dry application, but primer is recommended for maximum adhesion. Follow the DI-NOC Installation Guide with recommended tools. Accent Distributing also offers a 3-day endorsement course if needed. For further technical guidance, please reach out to your sales rep.

What is Primer and why is it recommended?

  • Primer is an adhesion promoter that can significantly increase the film’s adhesion. Primer use is recommended at overlaps, ends, corners, edges, or around fixtures, and especially when the film is stretched.
  • Primer is not needed for flat, metal or glass applications. For more information about primers, please reference the DI-NOC Installation Guide, pg. 3. Accent Distributing stocks both primers referenced.™

What is DI-NOC™ made of?

  • DI-NOC™ is a vinyl film with a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing. DI-NOC™ E-Series RC Recycled Content is a polyester film with a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing. For additional technical information, please see the DI-NOC Tech Data Sheet

Does 3M make custom DI-NOC™ patterns?

  • For smaller projects (less than 20 rolls), no. However, Accent Distributing does have an established network of 3M authorized installers who can help with the design, production, and installation of custom patterns.
  • For larger projects (20+ rolls), yes. 3M will consider custom projects on a case-by-case basis. For more information on this process, please reach out to our Inside Sales Flat Glass team.

What is the warranty for DI-NOC™?

  • DI-NOC™ has an expected performance life of 12 years for indoor, vertical applications.  For more specific warranty details, please reference the attached DI-NOC Tech Data Sheet, pg. 15.
